Tabor is a city in the Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. A jewish community was founded in the early 1600’s. The synagogue depicted below was opened in the late 1800’s and closed down by the Nazis in October, 1941. The town was used as a transit camp for deportations to Theresienstadt and later to Auschwitz. It was also the site of labor camps attached to the Flossenbuerg concentration camp. Below is a thumbnail of a photo postcard which includes the synagogue in Tabor.
