General

This category covers a variety of camps established in countries other than Germany. Some of these countries were occupied by Germany, such as France and Holland. Some were allied with Germany, such as Hungary and Italy. Some were in neutral countries, such as Sweden and Switzerland. These camps included primarily forced labor camps, internment camps and transit camps (usually to death camps).
